Fabrizia Zammatteo - Voluntas Pacem

land art - photo

" VOLUNTAS PACEM SCL 4/22 " ©fabrizia zammatteo area perform.

Ivan Jones - View from Llanidloes, Wales

soft pastel - 70″ x 50″

Ivan is a retired veterinary surgeon who has become a pastel artist. Born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, he now lives and works in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. Ivan was introduced to pastels as a teenager by a friend of his father’s and in fact he still has remnants of his first set of pastels. Ivan passed A level art at 16, then went on to complete a veterinary science degree - his understanding of animals allows him to add that something extra to his artworks. As a pastel artist Ivan feel that pastels have a great vibrancy and richness of colour that is often under appreciated. He works largely from photographs and undertakes commission work as well as create detailed artwork in a wide range of subject matter. Ivan like to give each piece a three-dimensional effect and detail is of importance to him - each 12in by 16in artwork takes him 25 to 30 hours to complete. Ivan has completed a large number of artworks in the past 21 years, many of which can be seen on his website. Ivan admires the work of many artists including the Impressionists, Pre-Raphaelites, David Shepherd, Simon Coombes and many of his contemporaries. Ivan has exhibited widely in Herefordshire and will be opening his home studio during Herefordshire Art Week, September 3rd to 11th 2022.

Jim Pearson - Landscape, Memory and Bone Consecrated

digital print - 10.3'' x 34''

The limited edition, Landscape, Memory and Bone series of hand drawn digital prints, plus a few added photo elements, shows enigmatic, breakable and dying landscapes. Within this fragile environment, marks and organic forms grow intertwined and unpredictable. Layers of textural surface become deeper and richer as they are drawn, then erased, worked, then reworked, constructed and then deconstructed. The images have changed dramatically from start to finish. Allowing for serendipity, the compositions were left open and flexible, for as long as possible, as to not force the work in any one direction. This allowed for surprise.

Chantal Bourque - Elfs Traverse

acrylic - 36'' x 60''

In creating my paintings, I combine my love of nature with my passion for painting, with the goal of creating artworks where trees and forests are the stars. Through my paintings, I wish to convey the feelings that I get from trees: rootedness, strength, uniqueness, hope, impermanence, resilience and originality. I hope to encourage people to live in connection with nature.
